A Trainee/Participant

Empowering Young Farmers
Joining the Common Initiative Group (CIG) before it became AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING, was one of the best decisions I made. The vocational training I received in poultry farming and sustainable crop cultivation has not only changed my life but also given me the tools to support my family. Through the cooperative, I learned essential skills that will help me become a successful farmer, and I now have the confidence to start my own small-scale farm. This cooperative is truly transforming lives and helping us fight food insecurity.

A Local Farmer

A Great Partnership for Growth
As a small-scale farmer, I struggled with challenges like crop diseases, inadequate resources, and limited access to modern farming techniques. When I partnered with AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING by then it was still a Common Initiative Group (CIG) everything changed. The cooperative provided me with training in organic farming practices, and I now use better, more sustainable techniques that have increased my crop yield. The team is always available to offer advice, and I can see the positive impact their support has had on my farm.

A Benefactor/Donor

A Truly Worthy Cause
I have had the privilege of supporting AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING for the past year when it was still a Common Initiative Group (CIG), and I am proud of the incredible work they do. Their focus on youth empowerment and food security aligns with my values of promoting sustainable agriculture. The cooperative's programs have already made a difference in so many lives, and I know my contribution has helped to build a brighter future for local communities. I look forward to seeing how from CIG to now a fully authorised cooperative will grow and continue to change lives.

Collaborating for a Better Future
The AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING is an essential partner in the plan to address the food security issues in our region and country as a whole especially as they now turn from a Common Initiative Group (CIG) to a full Cooperative. Their commitment to promoting youth employment through sustainable agriculture has been evident in the work they’ve done in the past when they were still a CIG. We are proud to support their efforts and look forward to expanding our collaboration, which is vital for tackling the challenges of food insecurity and youth unemployment.

Transforming the Community
The Common Initiative Group (CIG) has had a transformative impact on our community before relocating because of Anglophone Crises to now become a full Cooperative "AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING". Their programs were very helpful to educate young people about farming, food security, and environmental sustainability. I saw them firsthand how their training and support led to real improvements in both agriculture and employment within the community. It’s not just about food; it’s about giving people a purpose and the skills to improve their lives.

An Effective and Sustainable Model
We’ve worked closely with AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING in the past two years when they were still a Common Initiative Group (CIG), and we’ve seen the results of their efforts firsthand more over most of them today emanate from our human rights NGO " Agronomic Counsel of the High Commission for General Intervention (HACIG). They focus on creating sustainable solutions for food security and youth employment, and the impact of their work is evident in the communities they served before in the North West before relocating. The cooperative’s commitment to training young people and promoting sustainable agriculture is an effective model for tackling the food insecurity challenges in this country and beyond.

Access to Markets and Fair Prices
Being part of the cooperative’s agricultural product sale program has opened new doors for me. Before, I struggled to find fair markets to sell my produce. Now, through the cooperative’s consultation and support, I’m able to sell my crops at reasonable prices and connect with a wider customer base. The access to better markets and fair trade has made a huge difference in the sustainability of my farm.

A Resilient Journey Towards Agricultural Transformation

I have been following the progress of the AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING (ACWFST) from its early days as a Common Initiative Group (CIG) in the North West Region of Cameroon. During those challenging times, when the region faced unprecedented insecurity due to the ongoing Anglophone Crisis, I witnessed the determination of the group members to continue their mission of combating youth unemployment and promoting sustainable agriculture. Despite the immense challenges they faced, including the loss of over 90% of their equipment and property, they have remained unwavering in their commitment to improving food security and providing vocational training to young people.

The cooperative's resilience has been nothing short of inspiring. I have personally seen how the team has rebuilt from the ground up, expanding their mission to promote agricultural development in a sustainable and collaborative manner. As a former administrator in the sector, I can confidently say that their work is in alignment with our government's goals of promoting food security, youth empowerment, and rural development.

What stands out most about AGROCOOPERATIVE FOR WORLD FOOD SECURITY AND TRAINING is their ability to not only survive through difficult times but to thrive and expand their impact. Their focus on youth training, poultry, piggery, and crop cultivation has already begun to change lives across the region. I have no doubt that they will continue to play a major role in ensuring food security in our country and beyond.

I encourage individuals, organizations, and government entities to support this resilient cooperative as they continue their mission of creating sustainable livelihoods, empowering youth, and transforming the agricultural landscape."
